
Heads Up!
Funny “Ladies” Power Hour aims to provide a fun, supportive, and safe space for comedians to showcase their talent. Content that is oppressive or violent toward marginalized populations such as women, people of color, LGBTQ individuals, people with disabilities, religious minorities, and immigrants is not welcome.
What to expect…
- Shows take place on Wednesdays, 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm Pacific
- Comedians identify as women or non-binary
- Audience is gender-inclusive (everyone is welcome to watch!)
Showcases
Comedians: 6 minute sets from funny “ladies” who are experienced on the mic. The audience votes for “fan favorites” so bring your A game! Interested? We’d love to hear from you! Please complete this form to start the conversation.
Audience: Get ready to get engaged! We love to see faces and your laugher fuels comedians. Participate in trivia contests and cast your vote for “fan favorite” at the end of each show.
Why: It’s a great way to enjoy entertainment and connect with others during a time of social distancing.
Clean (Enough) Showcases
When: First Wednesday of the month starting Jan, 2021.
Comedians: 6 minute sets of material that won’t make you squirm in front of your kids or parents. Great for comedians who work the corporate circuit. We welcome both adults and teens to perform! Interested? Please complete this form to start the conversation.
Audience: Expect a similar experience to our typical showcases with PG content.
Why: Cause you can’t spend every minute away from your family!
Open Mics
Comedians: If you’ve flirted with the idea of standup, this is for you! All you need is a 4-5 minute routine and a little bit of courage. This is also a space for more seasoned comedians to try out new material. Sign up for an open mic here.
Audience: If you’re all about empowering women, then come cheer on these brave souls! You just may witness the next star in the making!
Why: Because everyone needs to start somewhere and we could all use some fun in our lives!
